This custom half-day workshop was delivered for senior leaders in a financial services organistaion.
It works on two levels.
The outer game — what to say and how to structure it — is built around the FOIRA framework: Frame, Observe, Impact, Receive, and Agree and is practised explicitly.
The inner game is the Trigger Loop — the millisecond sequence from event to default behaviour that runs most leaders on autopilot under pressure. Participants identify their own default (bluntness, avoidance, taking over, over-explanation) and learn a single reset move — Pause, Label, Choose, Respond — that interrupts the loop before it runs them.
The session closes with The Crucible: every participant rehearses their real conversation in front of peers, receives structured feedback, and leaves with a specific commitment to have it — within fourteen days.
